In addition to being a trending topic, health and usage monitoring is a widely accepted concept within MOD’s and OEM’s. 

All agree, there must be total asset visibility for smooth successful operations. When one increases knowledge on the condition of an asset, higher performance levels of maintenance can be met. This is commonly referred to as condition-based maintenance that strives to predict failures. In order to determine the condition of an asset, accurate information on its use and health is necessary.

And for that purpose, the ILIAS I-HUMS (Intelligent Health and Usage Monitoring System) was developed to enhance clarity and achieve higher levels of maintenance and logistics with the ability to translate knowledge into tangible pragmatic solutions. 

A HOLISTIC APPROACH

To give you the tools for condition–based maintenance and reduce your logistic footprint, the I-HUMS product is based on a holistic approach; providing value to driver, performance–based contractors and maintenance officers.  

Driver: Drivers will have valid and accurate data on the vehicle usage beyond CANBUS information.  

Performance Based Contracting: The ILIAS I-HUMS will influence the relationship between OEM & MoD’s (usage of the fleet’s impact on spare parts).

Maintenance: The ILIAS I-HUMS will enhance condition-based maintenance through valid data and models.

REDUCING THE HUMAN ERROR

I-HUMS setup is based on the quality and validity of data by reducing human intervention in the collection process. 

With this understanding, we developed a unique smart sensor capable of collecting data such as mechanical load, temperature, humidity, engine hours, mileage or number of incidents.

The data of the fleet is automatically and securely transmitted to a server where it will be computed and translated into information based on machine learning algorithms. This data can then be displayed to a console or within a fleet management system; resulting in clear and relevant information for fleet manager, procurers, technicians and OEM system managers.

Through an I-HUMS implementation, we will not only install and train our customers on the hardware and software but we’ll also transfer our knowledge on condition-based maintenance to enhance performance levels.
