BELGIAN DEFENSE

+ 70% OF FLEET CAPABILITY

In the early 1990’s, the Belgian Air Force had a requirement for significant improvements in aircraft availability while simultaneously reducing support costs and complementing levels. In 1997, ILIAS went into production for the Air Force and specifically built the solution to address these needs.

As part of a strategic plan the entire Belgian Defence organization was re-structured. The Air Force, Navy and Army ceased to exist whereby the newly named Air, Navy, Land and Medical components would share functions such as material and human resources. To address the organizational and response needs, all four components started using ILIAS as their unique system for more complete and reliable organization of material . We helped the Belgian Air Force reduce 50 percent of their F-16 Fleet (from 120 to about 60), while increasing the flying hours by 33%.

Today, we are proud to facilitate the serviceability and availability of the Belgian fleet, which is about 70% percent. Similar benefits have been realized for their other weapon systems.
